Aaron Begley, MA, LLP

Aaron Begley, MA, LLP

Aaron Begley is a Limited Licensed Master’s level Psychologist dedicated to ethical and down to earth treatment of children, adolescents, and their parents. Aaron earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Psychology from Western Michigan University, and his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (Counseling Practice) from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. Aaron specializes in working with children and teens with anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), academic underachievement, anger control problems, self-esteem issues, trauma, sexual identity issues, gender identity issues, and problematic behaviors at home.

Aaron has worked with children and teens in various settings, including psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment facilities, and private practice since 2018. Aaron enjoys helping his clients feel as if they are having an extraordinary conversation with a friend, and helping each session feel more casual, and less clinical.

Aaron utilizes an evidence-based approach to assist the child or teen in navigating relationships with friends and family members while learning more about themselves, and helping them to advocate for their own needs and emotions. Aaron helps bridge the gaps between parent and child, facilitates a deeper understanding of each other, and helps navigate various communication issues with the parent/child relationship.

Aaron’s first priority is to make sure the child or teen feels safe and comfortable enough to return for more sessions, as a strong therapeutic relationship and behavior changes take time to achieve. Aaron strongly believes positive thinking can lead to positive behavior changes and wants to help the next generation delve into a more mentally healthy future.

In addition, Aaron provides psychological testing, which leads to a better understanding of how his clients think, learn, and operate, helping to guide individualized psychological treatment. Aaron is specifically trained to administer the Weschsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V), the Weschsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-IV), the Wide Range Achievement Test (WRAT5), the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI-3/A), the Conners Continuous Performance Test (CPT3)
