Michensey Hamlin is dedicated to providing safe spaces that foster empowerment and connection, so your family can reach their goals. She is passionate about meeting clients where they are and using the strengths clients and families already possess in order to find a path forward. Michensey has a special interest in working with children, teens, and families experiencing significant medical diagnoses, chronic medical conditions, and acute illness. She also works with those seeking to address issues related to anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions.
Michensey received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan. During her internship, she worked with individuals across the lifespan and discovered a passion for working with children, teens, and families. The primary therapeutic modalities Michensey utilizes are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy. Prior to pursuing a career in social work, Michensey received a Bachelor of Music degree from Western Michigan University. She has significant experience coaching individuals who are facing issues related to performance anxiety and has a passion for helping performers feel confident and reach success.
